VSNL International,
formerly Tyco telecommunications, asked SIG Real Estate for the build of a
datacenter in Groningen and international fiber optic connections from Groningen
to large internet exchanges like Hamburg and Amsterdam. When the building was
turned over to the customer, the whole ICT community turned in distress and all
ICT companies came into a lot of problems. In order to survive, SIG was asked
to take over the comp
lete
management and control. By getting the proper customers at the right moment it
became a
very positive business case to run the datacenter. During the last couple of
years we managed to fill up the datacenter for 100% with a variety of customers,
like large international enterprises and smaller regional customers in the field
